In the Spring of 2016, we had a contract on our house and were under contract for a new one when we flew out to LA to the #bethelmusic conference. The next day it all fell apart and from then on, our home search met road block after road block. It seemed like we were forcing something that we thought we had to do. Buy a bigger house, stay in a certain neighborhood, get more stuff. The Sunday after we got home from LA, our new series at church was called “Less is More” and it knocked me upside the head. I just knew what we were doing was wrong. Kris joked while we were in LA, “Why don’t we just get an RV and drive to Bethel and hang there for awhile!” We started praying about it after we got back and it seemed like everything was pointing to that reality. Exact opposite of what we had originally planned. We started purging and selling, downsizing and paid off all of our debt. We feel called to GO…but where we don’t exactly know. We do know that living smaller is what God has asked us to do. We plan on purchasing a RV and live in our RV full time. We’ll live in the Dallas area because that’s where we work but saving money and making travel a priority in between work. We want to be open to wherever God leads us. He is doing a new thing. What, we’re not exactly sure. But we don’t have to have all the answers right now. He’s lit a fire in our hearts to know Him more, to explore and travel and live our lives in a constant adventure. It’s been a roller coaster but right now, we’re in the excited and expectant phase! I know it’s not the normal thing to do but God has totally changed our hearts and now, I really don’t care much about what people think. 😉 All I care about is being obedient. I trust He will take care of everything else. So…follow along in our journey. Of course I’ll be documenting everything, even the bad and hard stuff. And hopefully, the amazing, beautiful and miraculous stuff too! Thanks to our family who have cheered us on and supported us these last couple months! We love you all so much!
