A Dream Come True

It’s finally here.

Our plans have all worked out. Everything has fallen into place. The business we needed to book to make this year possible came to pass. We set a goal in place and finally it’s here.

We’ve been living in our RV for 6 months now, dreaming of the day when we can stop living in a RV park and actually travel. Be on the road. Have an adventure. Take the summer off and LIVE! See, explore, experience and make memories that will last forever.

May 31, 2017 I believe will be the date we will always remember as the day our family changed forever. Kris left his job he had for 17 years to pursue his dream of owning his own business and doing what he loves to do instead of had to do. I am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished. He has taught himself everything along the way, he’s persistent and resourceful and he is the best dad to our kids and leader of our household.

I honestly don’t have any fear of finances, what ifs, next year, etc. Our life is completely different than it was this time last year and I wouldn’t want it any other way! May 27, 2016, we were coming home from LA changed after the Bethel Conference and now one year later, our whole lifestyle has changed.

We went from a 2200 sq foot home and a TON of furniture and stuff to a 300 sq foot RV, no furniture and the only stuff we have is what is used for outdoor play.

We went from the kids in school to road schooling 3 4th graders!

We went from a 9-5 job and consistent income to both of us being self-employed and praying and believing God for every opportunity that comes our way.

We went from an enormous, comfy king size bed to a RV queen size bed people!! Kris is 6’3″!! His feet hang off and he doesn’t care. He loves this bed, this home, this life. He LOVES his family and loves being able to be with them more.

My prayer is that this summer is the beginning of a new way of life for us. A new way of thinking. A new way of existing. Our goal is to be more people-focused instead of self-focused. Our goal is to collect moments and memories and not stuff. Our goal is to show our children new people, new cultures, and new places. Our goal is to be open to whatever and wherever God takes us. I hope it’s the beginning of something truly special and amazing. It started with a call to go and He rearranged everything to get us here. I know He will be with us through it all!

We’ve been staying at 2 places in North Texas the past 2 weeks while we were finishing up work and it’s been a fun start to the summer. But man are we ready to go!

Our spot at Mitchell RV Resort in Perrin, TX was so perfect! Not sure we are going to find this much room at any other parks on our journey this summer.

And I’m not sure we’ll find another RV park with alpacas! Wagon Master RV park in Sanger, TX is a really pretty spot with huge sites. We didn’t get good internet connection out here though so I doubt we could ever stay here while we work. But it’s a cool spot to visit.

Tomorrow, we will be in Amarillo and the adventure begins. Thanks for following along in our journey and we would love all the prayer we could get for safety and protection.

Rock on!
